Ward Cunningham,  developed first wiki software WikiWikiWeb and installed it on the internet domainc2.com on March 25,1995. Wikis are enabled by wiki software, otherwise known as wiki engine. Wiki is simply a collection of web pages  that anyone can edit, the most famous example of Wiki  is Wikipedia. Wikis can serve many different purposes both public and private, including knowledge management, note taking, community websites and intranets.
