DISCUSSION LESSONPLAN
As part of our B.Ed curriculum, we have to do disscussion lesson plans. For that we were divided into three groups. In my group there are 4 members including me. Neena. S, Anupama L. S, Abhijith V Chirayath and Reshma G R. We discussed lessons and wrote lesson plans according to the format. It was a learning phase for all of us. As a collaborative effort it helped to understand our mistakes while writing lessonplans and moreover it encourages to write lesson plans individually.
All of them equally participated in the group activity. It encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and the deeper understanding of the subject matter. Rather than passively receiving information, all the members participated in the learning process. When planning a discussion, we naturally considered various viewpoints and angles. This may lead to a more inclusive lesson plan that takes into account different perspectives, encouraging a more holistic approach to the topic.
Using discussion-based lesson plans helps in framing a lesson plan by ensuring that the objectives, content, and structure are aligned with promoting active student participation and critical thinking. When conducting the lesson, it ensures a more engaging, flexible, and student-centered approach that can adapt to the needs of the students in real-time. This method not only enhances learning outcomes but also fosters a more interactive and inclusive classroom environment.
